How a Medicare seminar works
A seminar is an hour-long educational meeting about Medicare, held in a local venue and hosted by a licensed agent. Here is exactly what happens, start to finish.
- Step 1
Find a seminar near you
Browse by state or city. Every listing shows the date, start time, venue address and who is hosting before you give any information.
- Step 2
Reserve your seat
Registration takes under a minute: your name, a phone number or email, and how many seats you need. Seats are limited by the size of the room.
- Step 3
Get a reminder
You receive a confirmation right away and a reminder shortly before the seminar with the address and parking details. You can cancel at any time.
- Step 4
Attend and ask questions
A licensed agent presents for roughly an hour, answers questions, and if a meal is offered it is served at no cost. You are free to leave whenever you like.
Good to know
- Attending is free, and nothing is sold in the room.
- You are never required to meet with the agent afterward.
- Bring your Medicare card, a list of your medications, and your doctors' names if you want plan-specific answers.
- Seminars are educational events hosted by independent, licensed insurance agents.
